The Task at Hand

At the Drive-in is a unique youth arts festival and multi-platform event starting in Sydney’s Hazelhurst galleries and concluding in the Living Desert outside Broken Hill in rural New South Wales. Combining live music, performance, films, and a diverse range of young participants, At the Drive-in uses zombies, aliens and real events in the lives of young people to explore what affects us and how we affect our world.
At the Drive-in invites a broad involvement – empowering young people to contribute and exchange ideas online, and calling for submissions across the country. Young people will travel from Sydney, rural New South Wales and interstate (as far away as Tennant Creek, N.T.) to participate in the final performance – a catalyst for community involvement and interaction in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire and Broken Hill.
